Founded in 1973, RE/MAX has a rich history of almost 50 years filled with amazing success stories built on the backs of Dave and Gail Liniger. RE/MAX of Juneau was initially founded by local entrepreneur John Williams, buying the franchise in 1989 and opening the doors in 1990. John was presented this amazing franchise opportunity by his friend, Mark Korting of Anchorage. Mark had met the Liniger's in the late '70s and immediately saw the genius of RE/MAX, buying the entire region and was the sole owner of RE/MAX of Alaska. Mark set out across the state selling franchises in Juneau, Ketchikan, Fairbanks, Eagle River, Wasilla, Kenai, Sitka, and even Kodiak to start what turned out to be one the most successful regions in the entire country! John Williams had great success with RE/MAX and had many of Juneau's top agents, including Larry and Margaret Telfer.

In 1997 John sold the Franchise to Larry and over the next 10 years, Larry and his team carried on what was now considered the gold standard, and RE/MAX of Juneau became the hands-down real estate leader, not only in Juneau but in all of Southeast Alaska. In 2007, Larry and Margaret decided to retire and sold RE/MAX of Juneau to up and comer…Marty McKeown, the current Broker/Owner. McKeown has grown the company to new heights over the years with help of his loyal team of realtors. McKeown purchased a new office building in 2013 in Vintage Business Park and supports many of Juneau's community needs including the Golden North Salmon Derby, Juneau's Holiday Cup Soccer Tourney, and many more.

Fast forward to today, RE/MAX of Juneau is still going stronger than ever with 13 of Juneau's very best Realtors selling more than any other Brokerages year after year.
